Introduced, not invasive, species. By terming them invasive as if they tore up their roots willingly and transported themselves to lay waste to foreign lands is just us absolving ourselves of the havoc we have wrought.

“Invasive” is the technically correct ecological term for non-native plants like this that outcompete natives, even when that plant has been introduced by humans at one point. Might be a linguistic difference between here and India. I agree with your sentiment, though.
